Item Description
Spalding Official International League (Shaughnessy) 1937-1960 era baseball has been signed in blue ink by 20 members of the 1953 Baltimore Orioles. The Baltimore Orioles were part of the International League 1912-1914 and 1916-1953, when the St. Louis Browns moved to Baltimore and took over the Orioles name. Ball has been signed by Manager Don Heffner as well as players Howie Fox, Clyde Kluttz, Jack Lohrke, Marv Rackley, Jack Sanford, Dick Starr, Putsy Caballero, Bob Greenwood, Ken Heintzelman, Tom Herrin, Stan Jok, Joe Lonnett, Ron Mrozinski, Kent Paterson, Dee Phillips, Martin Tabacheck, Jocko Thompson, Roy Weatherly and Archie Wilson. Ball has also has "1953" year inked just left of sweet spot. Ball has evenly aged and signatures show just lt. scattered wear. Fine. A great team-signed ball for the Orioles historian and collector. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
