Item Description
Kit includes original envelope w/"Supermen Of America" address and typed recipient name/address, 5.5x8-7/8" cardstock "Superman's Secret Code" folder w/classic image of Superman breaking chains, 1.25" dia. club button and 8.5x11" certificate w/typed name/address. Horizontal fold at center as mailed. Certificate is numbered "398607" at lower right. This version of the certificate mentions "Action Comics" at end. Code folder bears 1948 copyright (unlike previous code folders in lots #2044and 2047) and we believe this to be the first version to feature a copyright date. Button image/colors differ from those offered in previous and following lots. Envelope shows expected wear from mailing w/penciling and some crayoning and is Fine. All else remains bright, clean and VF-Exc. Franco Toscanini Collection.
