Item Description
First at 1.5" is button naming television station "KDKA" with text "Bucco Boosters Club." Reverse has single pinpoint cello split next to the collet but front is NM displaying Mint. This button is unlisted in Muchinsky. Next is 1.75" button showing the Pirate as a pitcher. This has a slightly cloudy area to the upper left. There is also a hairline of air under the celluloid running around the edge from 2 o'clock to about 7 o'clock. Button still displays glossy and clean and there is no actual cello split. Fine. This is item #14 on page #261. Next is 2.25" button with ribbon holding a 4.75" "Louisville Slugger/Pittsburgh Pirates" wooden bat. This is item #18 on page #262. VF. Last and unlisted in Muchinsky is a big 4" litho tin button with large image of the pirate and text "Pittsburgh Pirates." By his earring at left was a small dirt mark now removed. Button has only a few pinpoints of rubs at 1 o'clock and a very faint 3/8" line that does not break the paint beneath the letter "E" of "Pirates." Still in VF condition for a litho of this size. This is unlisted in the book. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
