Item Description
Pair of 11x17" single-sided glossy two-page spreads that originally ran in "National Petroleum News" Feb. 1939 issues featuring promotional material for Skelly Oil Co. Captain Midnight promotion. First sheet features photo of Captain Midnight actor w/list of various radio stations that aired the "Captain Midnight" radio program and their schedules. Second half of sheet features facsimile of letter from oil company sales manager noting success of the Captain Midnight promotion. Second sheet features a different letter from gas station personal regarding program and radio stations/schedules. This sheet also features image of Skelly attendant above text noting Captain Midnight's Flight Patrol club, w/photo image of boy wearing club badge on lapel. Vertical folds at centers as produced w/each sheet having pair of horizontal fold lines as mailed. These file copies have traces of glue on backs as they were removed from an in-house record book. Fine/VF. Both are rare and first we've seen in our 49 years.
