Item Description
Lot is for 1939 Skelly Oil "Spartan Bomber Model Aeroplane Kit" premium. Lot includes 8.5x11" letter dated June 15, 1939 that was sent to Skelly Oil dealers. Folded as mailed, coupon has glue stains w/some glue stains to letter. Fine. 16.75x33.75" assembly sheet features highly detailed instructions to build plane on both sides. Kit was available from Captain Midnight Flight Patrol Headquarters through Skelly. Bottom edge of assembly sheet folder has .75x8.5" glue stain which bleeds through a bit to reverse side. Folded as mailed. Exc. appearance. 17x22.25"  poster features image of plane at center w/"Only $1.00 Postpaid. Ask Your Skelly Man! Send Your Orders To Captain Midnight Flight Patrol Headquarters" text across bottom. Folded as issued. Reverse has 1.75x10.25" glue streak at upper right. Long but very lt. diagonal creases on right corners w/barely noticeable 1" tear at left bottom edge margin. Image area remains VF. All items are file copies and from an in-house record book, hence the glue as once mounted. All in this lot is rare and unlisted in Hake's Guide.
