Item Description
5x21x2.5" deep illustrated cardboard box contains complete parts to make elaborate space ship. Made in England by Wilmot, Mansour & Co. Ltd. 1950s. Box shows even aging and scattered wear w/aged tape strips along edges and penciling on main box panel. Separate attached label w/Sputnik-like graphics shows moderate edge wear w/several flakes. Box is Fine overall. Kit builds space ship w/launching platform but is also designed to fly up to 500 feet w/included Jetex rocket motor. Has two large extensive instruction sheets and all parts/supplies, including numerous wooden, metal and hard plastic parts, metal rocket motor engine and sealed container of jet fuel pellets, cloth parachute, tube of glue, sandpaper, etc. This kit was issued in 1955 w/Dan Dare image on left side of lid, however due to late 1950s satellite launches, paste-over label w/satellite image was added. Contents remain unused and Exc. Old store stock.
