Item Description
The studs are each .75". The one with larger image has lost silver flashing from the rim but it remains totally clean with muted silver coloration on the rim. The version with smaller image is NM. The first metal piece is 2-1/8" tall with a brass shield hanger at the top. Reverse has horizontal pin and the suspended medallion shows Harrison with 1888 date and reverse slogan "Republican Candidate For President." Rather scarce with the hanger intact. Next to this is a similar medalet but on this the 1888 date has been replaced by a ribbon design bearing the date "1892." The reverse remains the same. Next with eagle hanger is a brass medalet with reverse reading "Inauguration March 4, 1889." NM luster. In the bottom row are three jugate medals from 1888. The first has reverse showing workman's arm with hand holding a hammer surrounded by "Protection To American Industries 1888." NM gilt luster. Next is 1.25" white metal with portraits on the front and with ornate eagle on the reverse with text "Republican Candidates 1888." Some luster loss but VG. Last is brass with jugate portraits on the front while reverse shows 1840 style W.H. Harrison log cabin surrounded by text "Protection To Home Industries." Flag has tarnish dot but rest of luster is NM brass. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
