Item Description
16x23" print designed by Bob Masse commemorating the 40th Anniversary of The Band's final performance that took place at Winterland in San Francisco, CA on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1976. Photo at center features The Band on stage and was taken by John Scheele. Poster was commissioned by Robbie Robertson as the official art for the 40th anniversary of the historic "Last Waltz" concert. Printed in Canada and boldly signed in silver paint pen at lower right by Masse. NM. The Band has influenced numerous groups and performers including: Eric Clapton; George Harrison; Led Zeppelin; Crosby Stills Nash & Young; Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead. The decision by Eric Clapton to leave super group Cream was influenced by The Band's album Music From Big Pink. Clapton has expressed his admiration numerous times over the last forty years stating that the record "Changed My Life."
