Item Description
Pair of celluloid wind-ups made in Japan, 1930s. Trapeze toy is 8" tall to top of wire frame and has 4.75" tall jointed celluloid figure of Henry. Wind-up works and wire w/lead counterbalance makes Henry flip about. Tiny indent to Henry's cheek and some dust soiling to celluloid, o/w VF. Comes w/5.5" tall celluloid figure attached to wheeled tin litho platform (for total height of 6.5") w/wind-up mechanism. Henry holds original string that is connected to second, smaller wheeled tin litho platform w/4" tall celluloid figure of his brother, who has separate head that allows for nodding w/wobbly front axle moves. Made by Kuramochi. Small glue repair at brother's neck, but o/w figures are VF/Exc. Platform wheels show wear w/paint off rims. Fine. Wind-up works.
