Item Description
9x11.5" folder w/bold "Star Wars" title on front contains "New Material - Summer '78" as this press kit was issued for the 1978 re-release of the film. Press kit includes stapled typed sheets noting cast and crew as well promotional text concerning the film's initial release the year before and a packet titled "Merchandising: The Star Wars Connection." Of note, this packet's text mentions Kenner's success w/their iconic "Star Wars" toyline, noting "A Full Dozen 'Star Wars' Action Figures" and goes on to note Kenner is "Currently At Work On A Whole Supplementary Line of Additional Toys For The Coming Year." Kit also includes seven glossy 8x10" photos numbered SW-K-55 through SW-K-60 and SW-K-63. These include great posed shots of the cast in costume as well as scenes from the movie. Exc. Folder shows moderate wear w/.75" split at top of spine, pinch crease and corner tip wear. VG/Fine. Great insight throughout.
