Item Description
"A.I. Artificial Intelligence," also known as "A.I.," is a 2001 sci-fi drama film directed by Steven Spielberg. The film starred Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law, Frances O'Connor, Brendan Gleeson and William Hurt. Set in a futuristic post-climate change society, the film tells the story of David (Osment), a childlike android uniquely programmed w/the ability to love. Offered here is a prop form the film, a 31" long foam leg that has been coated in latex and painted. Leg has torn cloth wrapped around it and has the appearance of having been wrenched from a body, w/3.25x6.25" opening in side of leg revealing android's electrical components, including circuit board, wire and battery-like device. Latex has raised text indicating maker - Cinema Secrets, a well-known mask and effect maker for the film industry. This leg was used in the scene from the robot scrapyard. Scattered aging to cloth as designed and some wear to painted foot, w/some flaking. Fine overall. An interesting prop for display.
