Superb 13.25" tall solid resin scratch-built figure by modeler extraordinaire Terry Reynolds of California. His work is featured on pages 25-26 of "Superhero Collectibles: A Pictorial Price Guide" by Bill Bruegman. Depicted is "The Purple Monster" the titular alien played by Roy Barcroft in the 1945 Republic movie serial. Figure stands on oval plastic base. Part of a series of custom figures (see following item #2353) created by Reynolds in the 1990s.
