Item Description
Beemer was an American radio actor and announcer at Detroit radio station WXYZ, becoming "The Lone Ranger" announcer soon after its first broadcast in 1933 and also appeared in costume as The Lone Ranger in public as station owner George Trendle felt that Earle Graser didn't look the part. Beemer was the voice of The Lone Ranger from 1941 to the last episode in Sept. 1954. Offered here is a vintage 8x10" glossy publicity photo of Beemer in costume w/Silver. ©1943. Photo is captioned "Pals" and Beemer has signed in black ink, adding "To Miky Ivanoff - Good Luck To You My Pal - Brace Beemer 'The Lone Ranger'" inscription. Photo has some wear at corners as once taped up w/pinholes at top and lower left corners. Fine overall but could be matted for nice display. Comes w/Beemer's 3x8.25" personal check dated Oct. 12, 1964 that was made out for $56 to Milton Orr. Beemer has signed in blue ink and check has bank cancellation punch/stamp as well as vertical fold at center. Fine/VF. Comes with Hake's COA, PSA/DNA LOA and JSA LOA.
