Item Description
5-7/8x7.75x3" deep photo illustrated box contains 6-3/8" tall die-cast metal and plastic robot that changes into flying fortress. Released as part of Bandai America's "Godaikin" line of "Innovative Series Of Super Robots" released in 1984. Based on the 1977 Japanese tokusatsu (any live-action film or TV drama that features considerable use of special effects) series "Daitetsujin 17" about a giant battle robot commanded by a young boy who fights the giant robots of an evil organization bent on world conquest. Daitetsujin 17 comes in cardboard box w/robot, weapons and accessories contained in original Styrofoam insert w/Styrofoam covering. Comes w/illustrated instruction folder. Toy is complete w/two pairs of fists that could be fired from spring-loaded arms and plastic bag (that has been opened) containing other projectiles as well as small plastic ships for use w/Daitetsujin 17 when in fortress mode. Box shows lt. scattered wear and is VF overall. Contents remain Mint as packaged. Old store stock.
