Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 14.75" long tin litho and plastic gun based on Yoshiya's "Double Barrel Space Ray Gun," this was made in Greece, 1960s. Box shows obvious wear w/dust soiling and heavy creasing to lid. VG. Gun has "Mars Rifle" name printed across top and stock features image of spaceman w/starry bkg. Gun has dual translucent plastic barrels that would light up as sparks were produced when trigger was pulled. Friction works w/loud clicking noise but gun no longer sparks. Gun has some scattered wear in the form of tiny paint nicks/scratches and trigger has some trace oxidation, but gun still displays VF overall. Scarce as boxed. From the collection of Hans "RAYGUNMAN" Hobert.
