Item Description
7/8x2.25". Portrait of candidate mounted on shirt cuff w/draped American flags at bottom left and right. In the palm of the outstretched hand is a stately rooster (hand-cock). Portrait has a less than .25" dia. dark spot affecting the torso of the candidate and just barely grazing his face. This likely occurred during the manufacturing of the photograph itself.  There is no bubbling and the ferro is otherwise extremely clean. Brass shell retains original stick-pin and has sharp details. Both ferro and shell are VF. Far and away the best Hancock campaign lapel piece and one of the most charming campaign artifacts ever produced. Rare and the first Hake's has offered in our 50 years.
