Item Description
Rawlings Official AL Gene A. Budig model ball signed by total of six New York Yankees players involved in "perfect games" over the years. A perfect game is defined by MLB as a game in which a pitcher (or combination of pitchers) pitches a victory that lasts a minimum of nine innings and in which no opposing player reaches base. There have been just 23 perfect games in MLB history. Ball has been signed by all six in blue ink on same panel. Players include - David Wells (who adds "P.G. - 5-17-98" date), Jorge Posada, Don Larsen, Yogi Berra (who adds "PG 10-8-56" date). David Cone (who adds "P.G. 7-18-99" date) and Joe Girardi. Ball represents the pitchers and catchers of three Yankees perfect games. Larsen pitched the sixth perfect game, while Wells pitched the fifteenth and Cone the sixteenth. Ball is NM. Comes w/Topps Chrome "Golden Moments" baseball card signed in blue felt tip pen by Larsen. Lot also comes w/COA signed by Larsen. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA COA and LOA.
