Item Description
Original photo illustrated cardboard box contains 3" dia. two-piece plastic case in baseball shape, complete w/design of laces and "Official Babe Ruth Wrist Watch - Sports Watch Of Champions" text. Ruth's name is facsimile signature and all text remains distinct. Case is complete w/two-piece insert to hold 1.25x1-5/8" silver luster metal case (marked "Exacta") watch w/metal expansion band. Exacta Time Corp. 1949. Box has even moderate aging and repair to 2-5/8" tear to lid (reattaching corner). Box is VG/Fine. Comes w/instruction/guarantee folder w/photo image of Ruth. Baseball case has even lt. aging and is o/w Exc. and comes w/original packing paper. Dial features portrait image of Ruth set against baseball diamond design w/glowing numerals/hands. Watch is running and numbers/hands still glow. Case and band retain bright luster and watch is NM and much nicer than typically found.
