Lot comprises the original art for cover to cover illustrations for Whitman paperback book No. 2060, ©1966 NPP, Inc. Book was released to capitalize on the groundbreaking Saturday morning cartoon series "The New Adventures Of Superman' (Filmation Studios' first hit), story by George S. Elrick deals w/demented movie maker whose search for ultimate realism draws reporters Clark Kent and Lois Lane in to investigate. 15x17.75" artboard w/applied cover image is mostly hand-colored photostats, w/some pen and ink original art to knight's face, horse's hooves and some accents lines. Cover comes w/acetate overlay w/company markings and title paste-overs. Each chapter starts w/Superman's "S" shield and lot includes the pen and ink original art for this. Lot includes full set of 150 pen and ink original art illustrations for individual pages, w/art confined within printed borders. Illustrations come on 17 sheets, each 16.75x25" w/each panel attached separately. 149 are 6.25x6.5" and are printed as half page illustrations in book while last panel measures 7.25x11.25" and was printed full page image before first page. These pages come w/additional sheet w/handwritten note noting "Superman Paperback" job title as well as how many flats and "Big Rush" notation. Flat sheets have some aging and scattered handling wear, but art remains clean and Exc. Art is accompanied by complete typed script, totaling 71 sheets, w/extensive notations throughout.
