Item Description
Lot of four items for the original release of the 1948 Columbia serial starring Kirk Alyn as Superman. Glossy 8x10.25" still featuring one-sheet movie poster art (w/area for inset film scene left blank) has inked "Superman" name at left margin. Lightly aged but Exc. overall. Comes w/7.25x8-3/8" typed letter on Columbia letterhead dated. Aug. 18, 1948. Letter discusses showing schedule at Dexter, MO theater and mentions "Superman" specifically. Fold as mailed w/aging at lower left. Fine. 4.75x6" promotional booklet from Sweden features cover art derived from one-sheet and booklet has several film scenes throughout. Pinch creases to spine and lt. handling wear. Fine overall. 7.25x10.5" German movie herald features photo of Alyn on front and scene composite on back. Two horizontal creases, Fine.
