Item Description

13x16.75" poster on a lightly coated medium index stock advertising a University of San Diego concert featuring The Sons (Of Champlin), Elvin Bishop and Stone Ground on April 17 and 18, 1970. Art produced by Tad Hunter w/his "SAF '69" (San Andreas Fault) logo along right edge. Bottom margin reads "Incredible Hulk © Marvel Comics Group - Homage To Herb Trimpe And John Severin." Traces of handling wear and a few scattered trivial edge marks. Exc. Of note, this poster is listed in the Art Of Rock as plate 4.118, giving it major cross collectible appeal to concert poster collectors. We have encountered two smaller handbills but this is the first example of this rare low run poster we've been able to offer. An appealing Hulk graphic produced during the height of Marvelmania w/a nice reference to Trimpe, the artist most closely associated w/the 1970s Hulk comics.
