Item Description

Brass base with four small prongs holding a highly domed plastic cover over a real photo, without dot screen, of Richard Coogan in his role as the first TV space hero Captain Video. The program aired in 1949  on the Dumont Network and beat Buck Rogers to TV by  a year. The only Video premium issued while Coogan was in the role, as Al Hodge took over in 1951. The Captain holds a large futuristic space gun. While dome is 100% complete, extreme right edge has a tiny white dot from 1/16" internal plastic fracture. Very minor and still overall an Exc. example as most survivors have much more wear on the dome.
