Item Description
21x28" poster for July 7 - 11, 1918 Associated Advertising Clubs of the World Convention that took place in San Francisco, CA.  These associations originated w/Ben Franklin, dedicated to truth in advertising and were the group that caused the Better Business Bureau to come into being in the 1920s. Done by famous poster artist Louis Fancher and printed by Schmidt Litho of San Francisco, the people who created the famed World War I "Destroy This Mad Brute" poster. Poster features Columbia/Liberty warrior holding sword and shield w/"Associated Advertising Clubs Of The World" name around edge w/globe at center and "Truth" word. Poster was originally folded and has small staple holes at corners. 2" streak of moisture along lower right margin. Repair to 3.5" tear at top center. As linen-mounted, poster displays VF/Exc. Rare.
