Minnesota elects their add-on delegates during the state convention. In 2008 as Hilary Clinton and Obama fought deep into the primary season before Obama eventually became the nominee, there was a moment when these typically unsung politicos were in focus. Minnesota elected Minneapolis Mayor RT Rybak and Dr. Josie Johnson who supported Obama at the DNC.
