Item Description
6-3/8x8.25x2-3/8" deep window box contains 5.25" tall die-cast King Kong Arkron Space Robot by Ark Co. Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan. Distributed by Marukay Trading Co. ©1976 Dino De Laurentiis and released in conjunction w/the 1976 Paramount film (see poster #2056). Toy features pair of spring-loaded knives on chest. Comes w/punch-out cardboard sheet w/pair of "King Kong" airplanes (unused but w/some loose perforations) to be launched from its torso and toy comes w/interchangeable parts for use w/other robot toys in this line (which also included Ultraman Monsters Baltan, Red King and King Joe). This toy was later released in the US under the name "Mech-Gorilla" to avoid licensing fees. Complete w/original Styrofoam tray and plastic cover/insert, toy also comes w/plastic missiles and metal whistle keychain. Toy is NM as packaged. Box shows corner tip wear w/some corner creases and some small dents/scuffs to window. Window has tiny 1/8" puncture.  Box is Fine/VF overall.
