Item Description
Pair of fabric ribbons each 6.5" long and each with identical text except the b/w version reads "Camera" and the yellow version reads "Civic Committee." The brothers were on a tour to celebrate, as stated on the ribbons, "World Supreme Endurance Flyers" as in early July of that year, just north of Chicago, they set the air-to-air refueled endurance record of 553 hours, 41 minutes, 30 seconds (over 23 days). The reception took place at "Los Angeles Municipal Airport, Tuesday, July 22nd, 1930." The only artifacts we've seen of this historic aviation event with both ribbons NM displaying Mint. Rare.
