Item Description
Large 18x24" sheet of stiff paper has detailed pencil original art by legendary Fantasy/Sci-Fi and comic book artist Greg Hildebrandt. Art features fan-favorite Wolverine as his future self - Old Man Logan. This art is the final sketch in a series Hildebrandt drew prior to creating the painted variant (1 in 15 copies) cover (see item #1459) for "Old Man Logan" Vol. 2 #5. Drawn Sept. 2015. The final art is very close to that offered here, w/Old Man Logan standing in front of the ruins of The Fantastic Four's Baxter Building and giant skeletal remains. This original art presents the end stage of Hildebrandt's process of posing the characters and planning lighting to add a sense of reality and depth. Art has been signed in pencil by Hildebrandt at bottom right. Exc.
