7-1/8" dia. Staffordshire china child's plate, one of "American Sports" series of at least eight featuring baseball game scenes. 1860s. Example offered here is titled "Base Ball, Caught On The Fly" and features bold transfer image showing man catching baseball w/diamond in bkg. Plate is free of chips/cracks but rim has lt. stain consistent/typical w/age. Fine overall.
