Item Description
Apollo 17 was the eleventh and final manned mission in the Apollo space program. Launched on Dec. 7, 1972, w/a three member crew consisting of Commander Eugene Cernan, Command Module Pilot Ronald Evans, and Lunar Module Pilot Harrison Schmitt. Apollo 17 remains the most recent manned Moon landing and the most recent manned flight beyond low Earth orbit. Offered here is a glossy 8x10" photo showing Schmitt standing beside the American flag on the lunar surface in his spacesuit. Bottom margin has been signed in blue ink "Reach For The Stars!
