Item Description
11-1/8x17-1/8" Marvel Comics artboard has Andre Coates and Don Hudson's pen and ink original art for cover of "The Secret Defenders" #4, published by Marvel June 1993. Art features portrait images of The Punisher, Doctor Strange, Sleepwalker and Namorita surrounding Roadkill. Publishing indicia, "The Secret Defenders" title and "Roadkill" name are stat paste-overs. Stamped title and inked issue number at bottom margin. Artboard has acetate sheet attached on back, w/stat pasteover for Roadkill's flaming head effect, w/additional sheet featuring editorial notations and final art mock-up. Scattered lt. handling wear/aging, w/some scattered glue staining, including to Sleepwalker's face. Staples/staple holes along top margin. Artboard is Fine overall but majority of art remains clean and displays VF. Jason Taulbee Collection.
