Item Description
10.75x15-5/8" thin artboard features artist Syd Shores' original art for page 8 to the second story "The Unsuspecting!" in the June 1969 issue of "Silver Surfer" #6, published by Marvel Comics. Shores is known for his work on Captain America both during the 1940s Golden Age and the 1960s Silver Age of comic books. Three panel page features man watching TV as vaporous alien floats about his head. Second panel shows a number of vapors leaving homes while third panel shows The Watcher Uatu observing these vapors gathering. Page has been inked by Frank Brunner. Top margin has production notations w/stamped title and inked issue number. Each text panel has text paste-overs. Second panel text panel has strip of aged tape across center and screentone accents have aged slightly. Fine/VF overall.
