Item Description
8.5x11.25" hardcover "Campanile 1937" yearbook for Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, CA. Baseball HOF Class of 1976 member Bob Lemon (1920-2000) attended Wilson, playing shortstop on the school's baseball team, being recognized as the state baseball player of the year by the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section in 1938. Later that same year Lemon began his professional baseball career in the farm system of the Cleveland Indians. Lemon is pictured in varsity baseball team photo on one page of yearbook. Yearbook has typical and extensive inscriptions/signatures. Yearbook shows aging and wear, w/spine wear and 1.5" spine split at bottom of front cover. Pages have scattered aging as well. Fine overall. Comes w/glossy 8x9.75" photo of Lemon in wearing Cleveland uniform. Lemon has boldly signed in blue felt tip pen. Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
