Item Description
Noble & Cooley produced many different Mickey Mouse toy instruments during the 1930s, including three different sizes of drums. This is 4.75" tall by 11" dia. size w/tin litho body and linen-like fabric drumheads. Sides feature similar wraparound scene as seen on largest drum (see previous item #1609) featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Horace Horsecollar, Clarabelle and Pluto, although on this one entire image is repeated twice. Has original string binding but die-cut leather accent pieces were replaced w/clips/springs, which does not affect display. Drumheads have moderate dust soiling/aging but no punctures/splits. Top/bottom rims have some scattered wear to the red paint and a few minor indents. Illustrated body shows only lt. wear/aging. Fine overall. Scarce.
