Item Description
"D. R. G. M. Printed In Germany" at right and "US Patent 843485" at left. Designed w/holes to go over ones ears w/die cut nose. Reverse  "Osborne House Auburn, NY" label and ink inscription "New Years eve Dec. 31, 1910." Top edge near right ear hole has a break that has been repaired w/clear tape on reverse. Less than 1" vertical separations that have clear tape reinforcement on front and back at left of TR's left eye and at right side of teeth. Tiny sliver of missing paper at extreme right side of nose. VG. These defects detract only minimally and the piece remains striking. Also included in this lot are a pair of period metal eye glass frames w/temples removed. Leon Rowe Collection.
