Item Description
Lot of 29 items in all. Two are .5" celluloid "T.R." lapel studs. The other 27 are brass. Of these 26 are clothing buttons and row 5, #4 is a brass lapel stud showing TR on horseback with text "Roosevelt 1904/The Rough Rider Brigade". Top three rows feature Teddy Bears- some with flowers, football, rifle or a big stick. Of the 17 bear buttons, five are duplicates. One has slogan "Will You Be My Teddy Bear". Bottom two rows feature seven buttons with TR on African safari scenes. Of the six buttons the same size, three are dupes and one of these is missing the shank, Row 5, #3 is "Rough Rider" rare clothing button. Row 5, #7 is c. 1909 showing polar bear with flag and text "North Pole Bear Coat". Most VF to NM. Standard designs to numerous scarcities. Julie Powell Collection.
