Item Description
5.25x8.5" thin die-cut cardboard mask issued by "Philadelphia Record Newspaper" in 1943. Front of mask is Batman cowl w/name across forehead (a variety also exists w/additional theater imprint). Reverse features nice head and shoulder images of Batman and Robin w/"Introducing Batman And Robin" text followed by "Follow Their Amazing, Prodigious Adventures! Now In The Philadelphia Record Daily & Sunday." At each "ear" there is an image of the Batplane and Batmobile. Images showing Batman and Robin in action along bottom. Mask is evenly aged and has some scattered handling wear, including some creases at left "ear" and across bridge of nose. Fine overall. Among the rarest and most desirable of Batman items from any era, we have only offered a few examples in our 50 years.
