Item Description
6" long cast iron free-wheeling pull toy, back wheels attached to jointed uniform-wearing monkey who sits in open cart behind 2" dia. metal bell. When toy is pulled, monkey's hands (which hold coconuts) rise and fall, striking bell and causing musical note. Patented 1880 and listed in Kyser & Rex's 1881 catalog as "Jim-Along-Jose." Moderate paint wear, only 30% or so remaining. Front wheels have been re-japaned. Fine overall.
