Item Description
Extensive binder w/over 100 pages of glossy paper sent to design departments of licensees to guide them in Disney approved philosophy/styles for current and proposed merchandise. Includes mission statements pertaining to merchandise, historical perspective/timeline images, etc. Also includes detailed sections for each of the "Standard Characters" including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto, w/"Supporting Characters" including Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Chip 'n' Dale, Uncle Scrooge, The Duck Family, etc. Each characters personality traits are stated, then a color guide followed by several pages of bw illustrations of character in various costumes, situations, etc. "Classic Feature Film Characters" sections for many characters including Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Bambi, Cinderella, Peter Pan and many others. Supporting and Film Character sections are primarily color guides. More modern interpretations include "Duck Tales, Totally Minnie, Sport Goofy" and "Disney Babies." These sections are followed by page illustrating process from proposed product through art/prototype to final product and pages showing a wide variety of artwork/products of this time period. Binder ends w/final look at "Guidelines For Character Usage." Some lt. wear but Exc. to NM overall. A fascinating look into Disney merchandise creation. Limited distribution to licensees only.
