Item Description
9x10" artboard has mixed media original art by Bill Justice (1914-2011), a Disney animator w/such films as "Fantasia, Bambi" and "Alice In Wonderland" to his credit as well as creating Chip 'N Dale. Card features 1.5x3-5/8" clipped photo of Justice (who was made a Disney Legend in 1996) and his wife Marie (w/Chip 'N Dale in bkg.) above original art depicting Dale dressed as Santa on back of sled, which carries Dale's girlfriend Clarice, who holds gift. Sled is being pulled by detailed pencil drawing of The Justice's dog Kayak, to whom Dale yells "Mush!" Hand-lettered text reads "Greetings From Marie And Bill Justice - Ad Kayak Too..." This art was used for The Justices' personal Christmas card during the 1950s and saw limited issue to friends and family. Artboard is evenly aged w/pencil mark at bottom center, but art remains clean and Exc. Wonderful specialty art.
