Item Description
19-7/8x30" heavy artboard features oil paint original art by Christopher Moeller, a writer and painter who specializes in fully painted graphic novels. Art was used as the cover to the 2002 edition of DC Comics' Nov. 2000 graphic novel "JLA: A League Of One," which was also written by Moeller. Story focuses on Wonder Woman receiving a prophecy from an Amazonian oracle in which the Justice League are killed in battle against an evil dragon. Wonder Woman decides to circumvent fate by facing said dragon - Drakul Karfang - on her own. To do so, she must defeat/subdue her fellow Justice League members. Art shows Wonder Woman standing on a hoard of gold coins amidst her fallen compatriots - Superman, Aquaman, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) and The Flash (Wally West) - as she faces the Drakul Karfang and his Drakunomes. Moeller has signed art at lower right, adding "'02" date. Artboard has some corner tip wear, but this only affects blank margins and art remains NM. A stunning cover featuring DC Comics' amazing Amazon.
