Item Description
"Child's Play" is a horror film franchise created by Don Mancini. Beginning in 1990, Innovation Publishing released the first comic books based on the films, in the form of a three-issue adaptation of "Child's Play 2." The success of the adaptation led to a monthly series of new stories starting in 1991. The series, titled "Child's Play: The Series," ended in 1992 after only five issues. This was followed by a three issue adaptation of "Child's Play 3." Offered here is 11x17" thin artboard featuring artist Paul Camilleri's pen and ink (w/screentone accents) original art for page 15 of "Child's Play: The Series" #1. Six panel page features two men in black-out. Russ heads for the basement to check the breakers while David finds matches to light candle, only to reveal Chucky is missing. Last panel reveals creepy image of Chucky w/knife behind his back, talking to David. Page has been inked by Mike Witherby. Top margin has production notations w/handwritten title and issue/page number. Art is Exc. Great use of light and shadow.
