Item Description
Offered in this auction as items #1412-1433 are the cover and all story pages to "Captain America" #265 (Jan. 1982).  11x17" artboard featuring Zeck's pen and ink (w/screentone accents) original art for Page 27, featuring two panels at top w/rest of page being splash page. Art shows Spider-Man and Captain America web-swinging out of Sultan's base, which causes Sultan to exult as large panel at bottom reveals Captain America and Spider-Man are now falling 10,000 feet as Sultan's Thunderhead Island base has become airborne. Issue ends in great cliffhanger fashion. Captain America and Spider-Man appear in first and last panels. Art has been inked by John Beatty. Top margin has production notations w/incorrect stamped "Amazing Spider-Man" title (which has been crossed out) and inked issue/page number. Text/captions and "To Crown A Sultan" next issue tag are paste-overs, which have aged. Screentone accents have also aged. Top right corner has been clipped, not affecting art or text. Art remains clean and Exc.
