Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid label (which shows obvious red bleed-through from cardboard) contains 5" tall toy depicting English bobby directing traffic. Made in US-Occupied Germany, 1954. Box has original insert and has corner tip wear and some wear to lid label in addition to red staining. Box is Fine overall. Toy has painted tin base, w/painted die-cast policeman w/movable arm. This is scarcer blue "Bobby" version sold in England. Version sold in America had white uniform and flat hat. Comes w/Schuco key. Toy was designed to rotate while arm moved up and down as different colored signals appeared in base. Key slips, spring most likely needs replaced by toy repair service company such as Tin Toy Works of Allentown, PA. Some lt. scattered wear, but still VF for display.
