Item Description
8.5" long. Listed in Sullivan/Fischer as WS-3 and unlisted in Hake. Gold accented scalloped edges and serpentine bands w/nearly translucent silk at edges and center band dotted w/leaves. Strong printing w/"Vera Cruz" scene at bottom and oval portrait flanked by draped American flags and instruments of war. Two horizontal very well flattened folds that do not affect any part of the printed design. NM. The most outstanding example of this design we have encountered and made all the sweeter in choice condition. Leon Rowe Collection.
