Item Description
11.5x22.25" frame contains matted postcard for May 7-10, 1970 concerts at Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA featuring Lee Michaels, Small Faces (including a young Rod Stewart), Catfish and Shorty w/Georgie Fame. Art by David Singer (who created 66 concert posters for Bill Graham, 1969-1971) features renaissance scene w/large drops containing image of man working with machinery. Mounted below this in opening is 6.25x8-7/8" sheet of unlined paper w/Bill Graham's handwritten notes to Singer concerning layout of the design. Graham sometimes gave these types of notes to Singer, including band/performer names, dates, order of billing as well as lettering importance. While Graham's notes seem rather basic, it shows the trust he had in his artists to deliver amazing designs. Exc. Nice display as professionally matted and framed. Unique. Comes with Hake's COA.
