Item Description
11.5x22.25" frame contains matted postcard for June 30 to July 2, 1970 concerts that took place at Fillmore West in San Francisco, CA featuring Traffic w/Steve Windwood, Chris Wood, Jim Capaldi, John Hammond and Lamb. Art by David Singer (who created 66 concert posters for Bill Graham, 1969-1971) features collage scene of man walking toward parachute w/man holding steering wheels. Mounted below this in opening is 6.25x8-7/8" sheet of unlined paper w/Bill Graham's handwritten notes to Singer concerning layout of the design. Graham sometime gave these types of notes to Singer, including band/performer names, dates, order of billing as well as lettering importance. While Graham's notes seem rather basic, it shows the trust he had in his artists to deliver amazing designs. Small spot of staining w/horizontal crease through center. VF. Nice display as professionally matted and framed. Unique. Comes with Hake's COA.
