Item Description
16x20" custom display has 7.75x10.5" opening w/glossy photo of actor Francis Xavier Bushman (1883-1966), an actor and director whose career as a matinee idol started in 1911. Bushman gained a very large female following and was one of the biggest stars of the 1910s and early 1920s. Photo shows him as Messala in the 1925 film adaptation of "Ben-Hur." Below photo is opening for 3x8-1/8" personal Security-First National Bank of Los Angeles check No. 1045 made out to cash for $8.65. Check is dated July 16, 1951 and has been boldly signed by Bushman in blue ink. Check has four vertical creases, three are through signature, but these do not detract greatly. Check also has typical bank cancellation punch. Fine overall but would make for a wonderful display if framed. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
