Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 12" long tin litho and plastic rocket-powered race car w/rubber tires. Made in Japan by Daiya, 1960. Box is complete w/die-cut cardboard inserts and has some lt. wear w/edge crease and some mild corner creases to lid w/crease along right end of lid's main panel. Fine/VF overall. Plastic-covered cockpit has nice tin lithography of driver's body w/separate tin litho head. "Astro" name on side refers to space rocket incorporated into race car's design. Actions include lighted and blinking engine and exhaust, loud motor noise, forward motion, stops and starts. All work. Mint as packaged. Old store stock.
