Item Description
21x27.5". The "Nov. 10, 1853" edition w/a full page announcement featuring a patriotic eagle w/banner in beak reading "The Whig Banner Again Floats Over The Empire State!!!" and additional text "Whig Canal Board!/Whig Senate!/Whig Assembly!!" Archival tape re-enforcement of less than 1" tear at bottom right corner that does not affect the graphic. Otherwise scattered and faint light brown spots of toning, moderate edge wear and minor separations typical of surviving newsprint of this era. VG. A rare New York issue that is among the last vestiges of the soon to be dissolved Whig party.
