Item Description
These oval football shaped buttons range in size from 2.25" up to 5" for "Love Those Esks". The first two buttons in the group feature team schedules for the entire season with the first dated for 1930 and the second for 1946. The next six buttons have designs attempting to simulate the textured surface of a leather football. While these vary in three different color schemes they are otherwise of the same pattern with one naming "Kansas Wesleyan University" and the other five related to high schools. Rows four and five are extremely colorful as these figural football designs go and these all seem to relate to high schools including a pair naming our hometown York's "William Penn Senior High" and "Edgar Fahs Smith Junior High". At the bottom the red football has inset name panel with text that includes "Universal Mtr Car". This has gold lettering "L-M U 1953 All-Stars." Below this is button "Deal Defeat To The Cards" with a hand holding cards forming the date of "1956." An outstanding group from the Paul Muchinsky Collection. VF to NM.
